Manufacturing Engineer

The Manufacturing Engineer is part of a team that is responsible for designing, improving, and overseeing production processes to ensure efficient, cost-effective, and high-quality manufacturing. This role works closely with production, quality, and design teams to optimize workflows, reduce waste, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Testing and monitoring machinery to make sure it is in good working order and can operate safely
  • Installing new equipment to improve a company's manufacturing processes
  • Designing new equipment or operational procedures
  • Troubleshooting machines to resolve breakdowns or faults
  • Gathering data and compiling reports to assess the effectiveness of manufacturing procedures
  • Establish a course of action to accomplish completion of the job and/or project
  • Analyzes product designs for best method of manufacture
  • Directs the design, development, and/or improvement of manufacturing processes
  • Provides technical support for specific plant operations
  • Evaluate input from internal/external customers to better understand customer needs and/or perceptions
  • Keep abreast of current product developments and trends in areas of expertise
  • Actively identify new areas for learning and take advantage of learning opportunities
  • Support the purchase and installation of new equipment
  • Evaluate expenditures for processes and/or equipment.
  • Provides technical assistance and training for assigned plant operations.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields
  • 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with Lean and CI practices
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Self reliant
  • Proficiency with engineering software and tools
  • ISO 9001 knowledge
