Manufacturing Engineer
The Manufacturing Engineer is part of a team that is responsible for designing, improving, and overseeing production processes to ensure efficient, cost-effective, and high-quality manufacturing. This role works closely with production, quality, and design teams to optimize workflows, reduce waste, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Testing and monitoring machinery to make sure it is in good working order and can operate safely
- Installing new equipment to improve a company's manufacturing processes
- Designing new equipment or operational procedures
- Troubleshooting machines to resolve breakdowns or faults
- Gathering data and compiling reports to assess the effectiveness of manufacturing procedures
- Establish a course of action to accomplish completion of the job and/or project
- Analyzes product designs for best method of manufacture
- Directs the design, development, and/or improvement of manufacturing processes
- Provides technical support for specific plant operations
- Evaluate input from internal/external customers to better understand customer needs and/or perceptions
- Keep abreast of current product developments and trends in areas of expertise
- Actively identify new areas for learning and take advantage of learning opportunities
- Support the purchase and installation of new equipment
- Evaluate expenditures for processes and/or equipment.
- Provides technical assistance and training for assigned plant operations.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields
- 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with Lean and CI practices
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Self reliant
- Proficiency with engineering software and tools
- ISO 9001 knowledge
