Design and Estimate Roof and Floor Trusses
- Develop designs for estimating project costs, ensuring economical and appropriate use of materials based on current inventory availability and costs.
- Utilize software to design wood trusses for floor and roof structures. Proactively address design and engineering challenges through accurate plan interpretation, expertise, and clear communication with both internal and external customers.
- Follow design process utilizing software to design wall packs, cut packs, and panels. Proactively addressing design and engineering challenges through accurate plan interpretation, expertise, and clear communication both internally and externally. Generate submittals and RFI's. Have a pulse on customer expectations and work with TTB to create great customer experience.
- Actively pursue knowledge of industry standards and best practices in designing wood trusses for floor and roof structures. Understand how your design decisions affect shop assembly and on-site construction to optimize time efficiency and material usage.
- Work with designers and plant manager to update and create work orders for awarded jobs using POS software.
- Update work orders upon completion and prepare orders for delivery process.
