DCC Cage Cashier

Job Title

Knowledgeable of and enforces Title 31 policies.

Knowledgeable of and enforces internal controls, and policies and procedures in accordance with Tribal, State, Federal gaming regulations.

Responsible for and safeguards all cash assets while on duty.

Issues, receives, and verifies departmental banks.

Completes paperwork legibly and correctly.

Monitors all cash transactions and activities.

Monitors all check cashing transactions to ensure staff adheres to check cashing policy.

Responsible for sending deposits to the bank, except for weekends and holidays.

Process slot jackpots/hand-pays in accordance with the internal controls.

Issue W-2G and 1042S forms to customers.

Issue jackpot checks to eligible jackpot winners upon request.

Reports Cage discrepancies to Surveillance, and/or Surveillance and SWO Gaming Commission per standard operating procedures.

Assists in training Cage Cashiers.

Arrives on time for their scheduled shift, dressed appropriately and wearing employee badge in clear view.

Willing to work extra hours to ensure the department functions smoothly.

Capable of working independently and at times alone.

Ability to effectively resolve problems within the Cage and outside.

Ability to use sound independent judgment when needed.

Exercises excellent customer service skills with customers and employees.

Exercises excellent communication skills with customers and other departments.

Regular attendance is an essential part of the position, must be very dependable.

Accesses and distributes keys to employees as needed.

Verifies Drop and replenishes cash to fill ATMs and Kiosk.

Performs maintenance and cleaning on the ATMs and Kiosk as needed.

Verifies the opening and closing of Gaming Cashier and Sports book Banks.

Replenishes cash and coin to fill the CDM and Bank Recycler as needed.

Performs maintenance and cleaning on the CDM and Bank Recycler as needed.

Ensures the Cage has adequate office supplies to operate without interruption.

Complies with all other duties assigned by the Cage Manager, Controller, and/or the General Manager.
