Responsibilities- Provide medication administrative support to residents.
- Answer and direct phone calls.
- Cleaning and food prep.
If not trained as a medication aide, the facility may provide certification.
Essential Duties- Administer oral medications such as capsules, tablets, liquids and topical medications such as eye drops, ear drops, nose drops, ointments, and other skin preparations.
- Takes and records vital signs. Records and reports any observations and changes in resident’s condition to the charge nurse.
