Horizon Health in Howard, SD is seeking a Full Time Safety and Health Manager. The Safety and Health Manager will be responsible for leading and overseeing the organization’s OSHA and Emergency Preparedness Programs. Horizon Health offers a collaborative, team-oriented work environment focused on meeting the needs of individual patients while supporting and contributing to the health and wellness of our communities.

* This position is available in any Horizon Location. Location is flexible within the State of South Dakota.

Experience:

Prior experience with OSHA in a healthcare setting, required. Three (3) or more years experience, preferred

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer and oversee the organization’s OSHA Compliance Program to ensure alignment with federal, state and local guidelines. Responsible for planning, developing and coordinating the safety program for the organization.
  • Conduct regular facility audits, inspections and evaluations to ensure compliance with OSHA Standards and serve as the primary liaison during OSHA inspections and regulatory agency visits.
  • Collaborate in the development and ongoing management of the organization’s Emergency Preparedness Program, ensuring emergency operations plans, systems and procedures remain current and effective.
  • Coordinate and oversee the organization’s Incident Management program. Ensuring completion of proper follow up and trend identification.
