Summary

This position is located at the Lower Brule Indian Health Center in Lower Brule, SD. The purpose of the position is to provide leadership and guidance that facilities the assessment, development, implementation, review, and reporting of all Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement (QAPI) activities and risk management initiatives.

A REAL  be required beginning May 7, 2025, in accordance with 6 C.F.R. 37.5 (2021).

• Facilitate the collection, monitoring, and reporting of data collection for Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI), Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC) and internal reporting processes, including periodic performance reviews, corrective action plans, and other critical processes.
• Investigate, plan and implement corrective action for problems related to hospital systems safety of patients and staff and public relations.
• Knowledge of accreditation standards and regulations employed by various regulatory bodies of state and federal government as well as non-governmental accreditation bodies.
• Auditing charts for appropriateness of hospitalization, continued stay, and quality of care against pre-established criteria.

This position requires the successful completion of a federal background investigation as a condition of employment.
