The Regional Human Resources Support Specialist provides multi-site HR support across the region, ensuring consistency and compliance with company policies, federal and state employment laws, and best practices. This role serves as a key resource for leave of absence administration (including FMLA and state-specific leave programs), assists with payroll processing, and supports the HR team with employee relations, onboarding, and compliance initiatives.
Responsibilities:- Administer and track FMLA and state-specific leave programs, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and company policies.
- Serve as a primary contact for employees and managers regarding leave eligibility, documentation, and return-to-work procedures.
- Work with internal payroll to facilitate timely payment of benefits for employees on leave, as needed.
- Oversee and support biweekly payroll processing for assigned locations, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
- Audit timesheets, resolve payroll discrepancies, and ensure compliance with state and federal wage and hour regulations.
- Partner with community leadership and the corporate payroll department to address payroll questions and corrections.
- Prepare and maintain accurate HR and payroll reports, ensuring confidentiality and data integrity.
- Provide day-to-day HR support to community leaders and employees across multiple sites.
- Assist with employee relations investigations, documentation, and progressive disciplinary actions under the guidance of the Corporate Director of Human Resources.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes to ensure consistency across the region.
- Maintain compliance with employment laws across all states within the region.
- Stay current on federal and state employment laws, especially as they relate to leave administration, wage and hour regulations, and workplace compliance.
- Monitor and track employee performance evaluations, including 90-day probationary reviews and annual performance reviews, ensuring timely completion and compliance with company standards.
- Support training initiatives related to HR policy updates, payroll procedures, and employee relations best practices
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or 3–5 years of progressive HR experience.
- PHR or CP preferred
- Experience using Paylocity a plus
- Experience in Senior living or Healthcare environments preferred
- Solid understanding of FMLA and state-specific leave of absence laws.
- Experience in payroll processing and auditing required.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR practices, and confidentiality standards.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Proficiency with HRIS, timekeeping, and payroll systems.
- Ability to travel within the assigned region as needed (Vineland, Berlin, Atlantic City, Toms River, Forked River, Lakewood)
$75,000 - $80,000 a year
