Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled and proactive Data Pipeline Support Engineer to maintain and troubleshoot data integration processes, focusing on SAP BODS jobs and data loading to Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS). The role involves supporting production systems, resolving issues, ensuring data integrity, and optimizing workflows. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of SAP ECC data extraction, BODS development, and Azure cloud services.
Responsibilities- Support and monitor SAP BODS jobs for extracting data from SAP ECC using SAP Extractors (standard and custom).
- Troubleshoot issues related to SAP ECC data extraction to ensure continuous data flow.
- Ensure the accuracy and efficiency of full and delta data extraction processes.
- Develop and maintain BODS jobs, workflows, and dataflows for data transformation and cleansing.
- Optimize BODS job performance for large-scale processing and minimize failures.
- Ensure proper execution and troubleshoot performance issues.
- Support and monitor data loading into ADLS in formats like CSV and Parquet.
- Maintain connections between BODS and ADLS, troubleshoot issues.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and efficient transfer during loading.
- Perform root cause analysis of data integration issues related to SAP BODS, extraction, and loading.
- Provide timely support for production loads, resolving discrepancies or failures.
- Monitor job execution and performance to ensure smooth pipelines.
- Maintain detailed operational documentation for all processes, including BODS jobs, workflows, and configurations.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years supporting SAP BODS data extraction processes.
- Experience troubleshooting SAP ECC data extraction and SAP Extractors.
- Hands-on experience with BODS jobs, workflows, and data flows.
- Experience with data loading and management in ADLS.
- Proficient in SQL and data warehousing concepts.
- Familiarity with CSV and Parquet formats.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of SAP ECC data structures (SD, MM, FI) and extraction methodologies.
- Experience with monitoring tools and job performance tracking.
- Familiarity with Azure Data Factory or similar tools.
- Experience with SAP BW is a plus.
- Knowledge of data security and integrity best practices in cloud storage.
