Housekeeper, Maintenance​/Cleaning

Faulkton Area Medical Center is seeking applicants for an as-needed (PRN)
Housekeeper to provide coverage based on facility needs . A high school diploma or GED is preferred but not required. Previous housekeeping experience is preferred, but not required. Applicants must have a general knowledge of cleaning practices and a willingness to learn.

Ability to work independently without direct supervision is required. This as-needed position does not have a guaranteed number of hours. Shifts may include daytime or evening hours and may include weekend and holiday coverage in coordination with the housekeeping team.

• Ability to perform a variety of housekeeping duties such as dusting, washing and disinfecting furniture, fixtures, and equipment; sweeping, mopping, waxing, and buffing floors; gathering and disposing of refuse; arranging furniture, stripping and making beds and performing similar tasks
• Maintain facility in a clean, sanitary, orderly, and attractive condition to provide a suitable environment for patient care and staff work
• Take ownership of assigned work which includes areas in the Hospital, Clinic, and grounds
• Follow directions and deal effectively with others

• Continuous standing and walking
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Frequent pushing, bending, reaching, grasping, and fine manipulation
• Occasional squatting or kneeling
