Under the general supervision of the Operations Manager, the Production Supervisor is responsible for directing plant operations by planning and assigning work, implementing policies and procedures, and recommending improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures, and working conditions.

The Production Supervisor provides leadership to ensure the safe, efficient, and high quality production of products while maintaining compliance with food safety standards. This role also ensures facilities and processes conform to GMP and FSMA regulations through effective management of quality systems and documentation.

• Support quality systems and documentation processes.
• Promote a culture of food safety and continuous improvement.

• Coordinate equipment repairs and maintenance activities.
• Evaluate new equipment and production technologies.
• Analyze production data and performance metrics.
• Provide production reports and respond to operational inquiries.
• Develop and improve operating systems, procedures, and controls.

• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and safety procedures.
• Educate employees on proper use of equipment and resources.
• Investigate workplace issues and recommend corrective actions.

• 3 to 5+ years of food manufacturing experience.
• 2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience.

• Strong understanding of food manufacturing processes and production equipment.
• Knowledge of ingredient functionality, processing times, and temperature controls.
• Working knowledge of:

  • GMPs
  • HACCP
  • Food Safety Programs
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
