AVB 1st Shift Production

This 1st shift production role focuses on assembling radiator and cooling systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will rotate through multiple stations on the production line, performing hands-on tasks that support the assembly, painting, and preparation of radiators. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy physical, detail-oriented work and contributing directly to the manufacturing process.

Responsibilities

  • Rotate between four primary divisions of radiator and cooling systems assembly on the production line.
  • Perform tube stuffing by inserting a small tube into a larger tube as part of the radiator assembly process.
  • Hang hooks for the paint line to ensure radiators and components are properly positioned for coating.
  • Insert plugs into radiators prior to the paint line to protect internal areas during the painting process.
  • Push approximately 25 small dowels through designated holes in radiators to complete assembly requirements.
  • Follow established production procedures and quality standards to ensure consistent and accurate assembly.
  • Work safely around machines, welders, and other assemblers, adhering to all safety rules and use of required protective equipment.
  • Maintain a steady work pace while standing for extended periods and handling repetitive tasks.
  • Support general production and assembly line activities as needed to meet daily output goals.
  • Communicate with team members and supervisors regarding any issues with materials, equipment, or product quality.

Essential Skills

  • At least 6 months of production experience in a manufacturing or general labor environment.
  • Experience with production assembly and working on a production line or assembly line.
  • Ability to perform general production and assembly tasks, including tube stuffing, plugging, and pushing dowels.
  • Comfort working in a manufacturing environment with machines, welders, and assemblers.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs safely and repeatedly throughout the shift.
  • Ability to stand for up to 8 hours during a 1st shift schedule.
  • Basic machine operator familiarity within a production setting.
  • Reliability and consistency in following established processes and safety guidelines.

  • General labor within a manufacturing facility.
  • Experience in assembly work related to radiator, cooling systems, or similar industrial products.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team of production and assembly workers.
  • Comfort with repetitive tasks and maintaining focus on quality and accuracy.
  • Willingness to work overtime when needed to support production demands.

Work Environment

The role is based in a busy manufacturing facility where machines, welders, and assemblers operate within the same building. The environment can be dirty and there is no air conditioning, so candidates should be comfortable working in non-climate-controlled conditions. Steel-toe footwear is required as part of the dress code for safety. The team currently consists of about 60 employees and is continuing to grow, offering opportunities to be part of an expanding operation.

The standard schedule is 1st shift, running from 5:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with overtime available as needed.
