The Senior Critical Facilities Technician – Controls will bring an operational level of BMS and SCADA system knowledge to the CFT staff and must show the way in terms of safety, good practice, and a critical mindset. They will assist and support the SME – Controls in their daily tasks assisting with operating, controlling, and troubleshooting the site-wide BMS, SCADA systems.
This senior role will help set the standard of operating with an unwavering attitude and commitment to safetyand reliability within the Data Center. The Sr. CFT – Controls will drive continual improvements to the operational excellence of the data center by leading by example by adhering to company standards and industry best practices. They will have a mindset of ongoing learning and development and will pass Level I training within 60 days of employment, and Level II training modules within 6 months of employment.
- Assist and work closely together with the SME – Controls
- Stand in and assume the daily tasks of the SME – Controls in periods of absence or leave.
- Create, Update, Finalize, and Close work orders in Asset Essentials relating to BMS, SCADA proceedings on site.
- Work closely with the SME – Controls to triage related issues and provide senior control support to other CFTs.
- Coordinate vendors in close collaboration with the SME – Controls.
- Aid in creating, completing, and reviewing SOPs within control operations.
- Provide senior support in proceedings relating to the BMS & SCADA system, and ensure safe and correct carry out in close collaboration with the SME – Controls.
- Train and show the way for lower-level CFTs in operational excellence, critical mindset, CMMS, and Control Operations.
- Flexibility to partake in 24/7 shift rotation when required.
- Operate and maintain critical and non‑critical data center infrastructure, equipment, and systems.
- Work with a team of CFTs to deliver total availability (100% uptime) while minimizing risks.
- Monitor power, cooling capacity, and environmental conditions within the data halls.
- Perform preventive maintenance on data center electrical and mechanical equipment.
- Participate in the development, review, audit, and execution of operating procedures.
- Resolve all controls and monitoring issues within the Data Center quickly while minimizing risk and effectively communicating issue(s) to the appropriate chain of command.
- Respond to emergencies and critical issues as necessary and work independently and as a team, according to staffing and situation, toward complete recovery.
- Troubleshoot and document technical issues, escalates as appropriate, and ensure issue resolution.
- Assist with planning all corrective issues.
- Maintain accurate facility data including rounds, PM work orders, change management, etc.
- Maintain strict adherence to change control activities.
- Manage assigned workflow tasks to provide timely turnaround.
- Escort and work effectively without side contractors, ensuring they are abiding by critical facility work rules.
- Follow T5 data center corporate policies and procedures.
- Participate in facility training programs regularly on construction and commissioning, as directed by the FOM.
- Adhere to all relevant Danish safety laws.
- Complete other such duties consistent with your role as you may be assigned by T5 FM management.
- Prior technical school training, preferred.
2+ years' experience in Mission Critical Environments, required.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Competencies- Strong verbal and written communication skills required for working effectively with FOM, team members, vendors, and customers daily data center management.
- Good written technical proficiency to support the creation and revision of process documentation (MOPs, SOPs, and EOPs).
- Above average problem-solving and analysis skills for evaluating a situation, identifying solutions, and working with leadership and team to store resolve.
- Embraces a team-based mentality by building positive morale and team spirit, supporting teammates' efforts to succeed, and recognizing teammates' accomplishments.
- Ability to drive through to full completion of all assigned tasks – critical skill.
- Able to function effectively and maintain focus in high-pressure situations.

- Have a high degree of attention to detail and complete tasks on time and as directed.

- Able to read and understand electrical and mechanical manuals, drawings, and sketches.
Able to work proficiently and safely with hand tools and power tools.
Education & Experience- Relevant degree, preferred.
- 3+ years experience in mission critical environments, preferred.
- Electrical or mechanical license preferred.
