Welder

Marmen Inc., a leader in high-precision machining and fabrication for the wind power and heavy industry sectors, is seeking a Welder for wind tower fabrication. In this role, you will perform MIG and flux-core welding on large steel sections, working from blueprints and weld symbols to meet strict quality and dimensional standards. You'll operate cranes and fabrication equipment, follow rigorous safety procedures, and collaborate closely with a skilled team.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG and flux-core welding on large wind tower sections and heavy steel components
• Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and work instructions to meet specifications
• Set up, operate, and maintain welding and fabrication equipment and tools
• Inspect welds for quality, dimensions, and adherence to standards; correct defects as needed
• Handle and position large parts using cranes, rigging, and material handling equipment safely
• Follow strict safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area
• Collaborate with supervisors, fitters, and team members to meet production schedules
• Participate in training and skills development to improve welding techniques and efficiency
