Provides support to management with planning, development and coordination of internal and external marketing and communications projects, programs and events.

Education and Experience

Required:

Bachelor’s degree and one (1) year of work experience in marketing, digital-communication, or social media.

Certifications, Licenses, or Registration required:

N/A

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Ability to creatively think and write. Possesses verbal communication skills, the ability to work with a diverse group of people and departments, and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Participates in the development and implementation of UMMC’s marketing strategies.
• Plans and coordinates the creation and implementation of internal and external communication programs (printed and digital) to local, statewide, and regional audiences that are effective in achieving identified goals.
• Provide support as needed for presentations, special projects, public and community events, and public relations activities managed by the Office of Communications and Marketing.

Physical and Environmental Demands

Requires occasional working hours significantly beyond regularly scheduled hours, occasional travelling to offsite locations, occasional bending, occasional lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds, occasional driving, occasional kneeling, frequent sitting, occasional standing, and frequent walking (occasional-up to 20%, frequent-from 21% to 50%, constant-51% or more).
