Position Summary
We are seeking a full-time Registered Nurse to be an Onsite Health Nurse at our occupational health clinic in Milbank, South Dakota. Hours are Monday‑Friday, 10am‑7pm. Compensation is $40–$45 per hour depending on experience.
Responsibilities and Duties- Lead health initiatives, manage workplace safety programs, and serve as a trusted clinical resource for employees and leadership.
- Provide first aid care and treatment by triaging employees after an injury following step‑by‑step care protocols, and support employees with wellness, education, and teaching.
- Be responsible for the daily operations of the clinic, including ordering supplies and following compliance processes.
- Work collaboratively with the employer’s Safety Team and Human Resources, as well as medical providers at offsite offices such as urgent care and hospitals.
- Work independently with support available by the operations manager and other staff.
- Administer and manage health service functions and daily clinic operations.
- Provide superior customer service to Medcor’s client and employees.
- Assess and treat workplace injuries and illnesses according to Medcor’s Evidence Based Medicine protocols (MCPs).
- Build and maintain internal team relationships.
- Support onsite employee health and wellness efforts.
- Collaborate with client professionals in health, safety, and environmental practices.
- Collaborate with client human resources and benefits professionals on clinic issues.
- Document and manage information using electronic medical records software and other tools.
- Conduct pre‑employment and post‑offer screenings.
- Perform Physical Assessment Testing (PATs).
- Manage case coordination.
- Maintain OSHA record‑keeping.
- Work independently with good time management and organizational skills.
- Hold valid licensure for the position in which you are applying and current BLS (AHA or ARC) certification.
- Possess strong computer and technology skills, including familiarity with EMR software.
- Be capable of lifting a 50‑lb emergency response bag.
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Maintain a positive and outgoing personality.
- Show willingness to go above and beyond just because that’s who you are.
- Passion for people and delivering the best possible care.
- Have a sense of fun.
- Spanish speaking bilingual or willing to learn.
- Comfortable working in a worksite clinic environment.
- Relevant occupational health experience.
- Experience in emergency medicine or critical care.
