Registered Nurse Director Of Nursing

Active South Dakota RN license required Nursing degree from an accredited college or university required Minimum 3 years of recent Director of Nursing (DON) experience required Minimum 3 years of nursing supervisory/leadership experience in a nursing home, hospital, or related healthcare setting required Current CPR/BLS certification required Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations governing nursing services and long-term care operations Experience managing nursing operations, staffing, admissions, performance evaluations, policies, and disciplinary processes Experience with QAPI, performance improvement, facility assessments, and regulatory compliance required Strong leadership, clinical oversight, communication, and interdisciplinary management skills Must participate in on-call coverage as needed by the facility Must successfully complete both agency and facility-required background checks and drug screenings Facility screening results may take 7–10 business days;

candidate cannot begin until facility clearance is received Must be available to work 5x8-hour day shifts and start August 31, 2026
