Summary
This position is located in the Division of Nursing Services at the Rosebud Comprehensive Health Care Facility at Rosebud, SD, which is in the Great Plains Area. The purpose of the position is to serve as the deputy or assistant to the Chief Nurse Executive (CNE)/Director of Nursing (DON) in providing leadership, direction, and management in the planning, development, implementation and evaluation.
AREAL be required beginning May 7, 2025, in accordance with 6 C.F.R. 37.5 (2021). Duties
- Direct oversight and management of the Outpatient and Operating Room and provides direct supervision of the Nurse Education program
- Assist with the implementation of an effective, on-going program to measure, assess, and improve the quality of nursing care delivered to patients.
- Assists in supervising the nursing staff in performance of the work to include assigning, directing, and reviewing work.
- Develops and maintains criteria for standards of nursing care and for procedures to audit compliance with established standards
