QC Technician

Summary

Responsible for all aspects of quality to maintain quality standards set by the Company. This person is responsible for all Quality Assurance testing of finished product in accordance with Westlake Pipe & Fittings' standard procedures.

• Perform a variety of physical testing of product, including but not limited to rubber ring testing, impact, quick burst, flattening, brabender, long term testing, and all other required QA testing
• Complete paperwork and reports as needed
• Use a variety of tools and instruments to assess and inspect product
• Check the quality of finished goods, including those loaded for delivery, and returned goods for acceptance to stock
• Review stocked pipe periodically and identify damaged product to be removed from inventory
• Maintain area to be clean and free from safety hazards
• Assist in daily plant operations as assigned

Other duties may be assigned to assist in daily plant operations.

• Education:
  
  High School Diploma or GED
• Experience:
  
  Three years’ experience or training/education in production and/or quality control

The role requires the employee to stand, walk, talk or hear, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds. The employee is exposed to wet or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, extreme heat, risk of electrical shock, high places, vibration, and noise levels are usually loud.
