Job Overview

Dakota Granite is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Sales Representative to join our team. This role involves handling customer inquiries, processing orders, and supporting sales operations to ensure excellent service. This role will begin as a Customer Service Representative and evolve into a Sales Representative after 6-12 months to ensure proper training. Someone who will help achieve our new client and growth goals and is willing to become as passionate as we are about the advancement of natural stone!

Responsibilities
  • Present, promote, and sell products using solid presentations to existing and prospective customers
  • Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential customers to meet their needs.
  • Establish, develop, and maintain positive client relationships
  • Reach out to customer leads through cold calling
  • Achieve agreed-upon sales targets and outcomes within the schedule
  • Coordinate sales efforts with team members and other departments
  • Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
  • Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends
  • Continuously improve through feedback
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure smooth order fulfillment
Preferred Qualifications & Skills
  • 1 - 3 years of customer service, sales support or client-facing experience
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office, G-suite, and experience with Epicor ERP is a plus
  • Strong communication, organization and multitasking skills
  • Ability to build and maintain professional relationships
  • Effective problem-solving skills
  • Excellent selling, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Prioritizing, time management, and organizational skills
  • Relationship management skills and openness to feedback
  • 20% Travel to see clients after 6-12 months
  • Familiarity with CRM practices
