The Strategic Account Executive is a full-time, on-site role based in Irene, SD, responsible for driving growth and long-term partnerships with key clients in the technology sector. This role focuses on developing and executing account strategies, identifying new business opportunities, and managing the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing. The Strategic Account Executive will collaborate closely with internal teams to align solutions with client needs, prepare proposals and presentations, and maintain accurate account plans and forecasts.
Day-to-day responsibilities include building strong relationships with decision-makers, monitoring market trends, negotiating contracts, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
- Demonstrated experience in strategic account management, business development, or enterprise sales within a technology-focused environment.
- Strong skills in relationship-building, stakeholder management, and client communication, with the ability to engage senior-level decision-makers.
- Proficiency in consultative selling, opportunity identification, and solution positioning to meet complex customer requirements.
- Capability to create and execute account plans, manage pipelines, and use CRM tools for forecasting and reporting.
- Solid understanding of technology solutions and services (e.g., software development, data & analytics, infrastructure) or willingness to learn quickly.
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and written communication skills, with attention to detail and follow-through.
- Ability to work on-site in Irene, SD, collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, and manage multiple priorities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Prior experience in the South African technology market or similar environments is beneficial.
