Construction Surveillance Technician I
The Construction Surveillance Technician’s primary function is to provide day-to-day security in support of Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) & Special Access Program Facility (SAPF) construction efforts.
Responsibilities- Assess, identify and communicate recommendations for improvements of policies, procedures, or systems.
- Identify threats, vulnerabilities, and potential risks.
- Draft security incident reports and brief government and civilian agencies including military senior leaders.
- Manage uniformed escort personnel and associated logs; assign, train, brief site security duties and ensure timely reporting of security incidents to site lead.
- Follow and enforce customer's Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Perform miscellaneous administrative support functions as directed by the contractor site lead and/or the Senior Security Representative.
- Conduct inspections of materials being delivered for utilization in construction of secure spaces.
- Photograph and continuously monitor the construction of secure spaces and document all steps to support final accreditation packets.
- 1‑2 years related experience.
- Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) counts towards 3 years of experience.
- Special Program Security Certification (SPSC) counts towards 5 years of experience.
- Maximum equivalent experience for SPED Certifications is no more than 5 years.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (4 years). Associate’s degree counts towards 2 years of experience.
- Knowledgeable on Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 705 (on SCIFs and compliance with uniform IC physical and technical security requirements).

- Must obtain an Interim Secret clearance to start and be willing and able to obtain up to a TS/SCI with Counterintelligence polygraph.
- Complete additional safety training and/or certification as required by local site (i.e., OSHA 10 Construction Safety, OSHA Fall Protection and OSHA Confined Space) within the first 30 days of hire.
- Must obtain CDSE STEPP ICD 705 Physical Security Construction Requirements for SAP course completion within the first 30 days of hire.
