Overview:
As part of our team, you’ll tackle complex security challenges across SAP, SCI, and Collateral programs. The Construction Surveillance Technician’s primary function is to provide day‑to‑day security in support of Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) & Special Access Program Facility (SAPF) construction efforts.
- Assesses, identifies and communicates recommendations for improvements of policies, procedures, or systems.
- Identifies threats, vulnerabilities, and potential risks.
- Drafts security incident reports and briefs government and civilian agencies including military senior leaders.
- Manages uniformed escort personnel and associated logs; assigns, trains, briefs site security duties and ensures timely reporting of security incidents to site lead.
- Follows and enforces customers’ Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Performs miscellaneous administrative support functions as directed by the contractor site lead and/or the Senior Security Representative.
- Conducts inspections of materials being delivered for utilization in construction of secure spaces.
- Photographs and continuously monitors the construction of secure spaces and documents all steps to support final accreditation packets.
- Experience:
1‑2 years related experience. Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) counts toward 3 years of experience. Special Program Security Certification (SPSC) counts toward 5 years of experience. Maximum equivalent experience for SPED Certifications is no more than 5 years. - Education:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (4 years). Associates degree counts toward 2 years of experience. - Desired:
Knowledgeable on Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 705 (on SCIFs and compliance with uniform IC physical and technical security requirements).
MUST obtain an Interim Secret clearance to start and be willing and able to obtain up to a TS/SCI with Counterintelligence polygraph.
Other Requirements- Complete additional safety training and/or certification as required by local site (e.g., OSHA 10 Construction Safety, OSHA Fall Protection, OSHA Confined Space) within the first 30 days of hire.
- Must obtain CDSE STEPP ICD 705 Physical Security Construction Requirements for SAP course completion within the first 30 days of hire.
