Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and dependable Welder at our Platte, SD location to fabricate, assemble, and repair metal components. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to read blueprints, and a dedication to quality and safety.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesFabricate and construct metal components using gas torches and welding equipment.
Weld components in flat, vertical, and overhead positions.
Read and interpret blueprints and engineering plans using an iPad.
Maintain required tolerances and high-quality finishes.
Lift, move, and position materials using tables, jigs, clamps, and fixtures.
Move work pieces, tools, and supplies manually or with overhead cranes.
Secure parts for welding using bolts, clamps, and tack welds.
Operate various hand and power tools safely and effectively.
Grind, finish, and prepare completed products.
Inspect welded surfaces and structures to identify defects or flaws.
Repair or replace damaged components by removing and installing new parts as needed.
Qualifications and SkillsPrevious welding and fabrication experience preferred.
Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical drawings.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Commitment to workplace safety.
Ability to lift, move, and handle materials as required.
Work Environment andPhysical Requirements
Ability to stand, bend, and lift for extended periods.
Ability to work in a manufacturing or shop environment.
Must be able to safely operate tools and equipment.
