Lead Carpenter Job Description
Are you a dedicated carpenter with a passion for delivering exceptional quality and maintaining integrity in every project? If so, we want to talk to you!
Responsibilities- Take direction from owners, communicate daily, and report all concerns.
- Understand project scopes and specifications.
- Envision each project, develop plans, and ensure timely completion.
- Lead assigned projects, read blueprints, lay out tasks, and assign roles.
- Schedule and foresee project needs, ordering equipment and supplies.
- Provide direction, training, and motivation to carpenters, apprentices, and laborers.
- Maintain project timelines, hours, supplies, and manpower.
- Ensure compliance with NU-YAR Construction safety policies.
- Manage crew, including hiring and firing with owner approval.
- Report progress and problems promptly to owners.
- Provide weekly reports on crew performance and project progress.
- Demonstrate excellence, attention to detail, and strong work ethic.
- 5-10 years of construction experience with a strong Construction Management background.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- OSHA and RRP certified.
- Ability to lead, manage, train, and motivate all crew members.
- Professionalism and exceptional customer care.
- Time management and organizational skills.
- Diverse construction industry background with knowledge of all aspects of the trade.
- Willingness to learn, adapt to new trends, and try new approaches.
- Ability to work independently and lift 100 pounds.
- Demonstrated carpentry skills with proven past experience.
- Attention to detail, cleanliness, and commitment to quality craftsmanship.
- Strong work ethic.
