This role supports a frozen food manufacturing facility that produces breakfast bagels, sandwiches, and burritos by ensuring that all production machinery, equipment, and facility systems operate safely, reliably, and efficiently. As a Maintenance Technician, you diagnose malfunctions, perform repairs, and carry out preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, and structural systems in accordance with blueprints, schematic drawings, operations manuals, and manufacturer specifications.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose malfunctions in production machinery and equipment using schematic drawings, blueprints, and operations manuals.
- Install, repair, and maintain production machinery, mechanical equipment, physical structures, plumbing, refrigeration, and electrical systems according to manufacturer's specifications.
- Perform preventive maintenance on motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines by following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, including PLC-related problems and three-phase electrical systems, to minimize downtime.
- Observe mechanical devices in operation, listen for irregularities, and use precision measuring and testing instruments to locate sources of problems.
Essential
Skills:
- Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of related maintenance experience or training in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematic drawings, diagrams, and operations manuals.
- Hands-on experience with mechanical systems, including hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting, including working with three-phase electrical systems.
- Basic PLC troubleshooting skills to assist in diagnosing automated equipment issues.
Additional Skills &
Qualifications:
- Experience in a food manufacturing or processing environment is beneficial.
- Familiarity with refrigeration systems used in production or storage areas is a plus.
- Comfort working across multiple disciplines, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural maintenance.
- Ability to communicate clearly with production personnel regarding maintenance needs and preventive practices.
- Strong attention to detail when inspecting parts, measuring components, and documenting maintenance activities.
- Willingness to work assigned shifts and adapt to changing production priorities.

Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of North Sioux City, SD.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $83200.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
