Lead Electrician

Summary Of Position

The Lead Electrician is responsible for performing, coordinating, and overseeing electrical maintenance, repair, installation, and construction work eph Indian School and other properties affiliated with the organization in compliance with applicable codes and regulations. This is a full-time, non-exempt position.

Reports to the Facilities Manager

Core responsibilities are not yet established.

• Repairs, maintains, and installs electrical wiring, equipment, and systems including but limited to switches, outlets, wiring, motors and alarms.
• Uses diagnostic, test equipment to troubleshoot and identify electrical malfunctions.
• Replaces, services, bypasses, electrical systems and electrical components.
• Tests equipment for safety and function using standard test equipment.
• Installs new equipment, wiring, and circuits following all code and safety requirements.
• Familiarity with or ability to learn Johnson Controls systems and Metasys.
• Assists in the maintenance of geo-thermal plant and air conditioning systems.
• Complies with all safety and health requirements established by local, state and federal laws.
• Repairs, installs, and trouble shoots all low voltage and communication systems as required.
• Performs other responsibilities as required by the Facilities Manager.

• High School Diploma required
• Journeyman’s Electrical License preferred
• Valid driver’s license

• Uses both hands and wrists repetitively for prolonged periods.
• Driving is required.
• Ability to repeatedly lift 30#, stand, sit, and work in various positions for extended periods.

40-hour/week

Occasional overtime and work outside normal business hours may be required.
