Driver
Coastal Rides is expanding across British Columbia — and we're looking for Local Operators / Lead Drivers to help build and strengthen service in communities across the province.
This is a flexible, local leadership role focused on improving ride availability, supporting drivers, and building community partnerships.
AboutThe Role
This isn't a shift job. It's a ground-floor opportunity to help establish Coastal Rides in your community — driving when you want, while taking on a broader role in growing the service locally. The more the market grows, the more you earn.
What You’ll Be Doing- Ensure reliable ride coverage in your area
- Support driver recruitment, onboarding, and day-to-day questions
- Act as the local point of contact for drivers in your community
- Build relationships with hotels, local businesses, and community organizations
- Promote Coastal Rides locally through social media, word-of-mouth, and partnerships
- Provide on-the-ground feedback to improve service and systems
- A valid BC Class 1, 2, or 4 driver’s licence and clean driver’s abstract
- Excellent driving habits and a strong sense of responsibility
- A positive attitude and genuine enjoyment of working with people
- Strong communication and time-management skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (e.g., helping with luggage)
- Flexibility and reliability — you show up when you say you will
- Local knowledge of your community
- More rides completed, fewer missed trips
- A small, reliable group of active drivers in place
- New drivers onboarded and actively completing trips
- Improved rider experience and repeat usage
- Growing local awareness and partnerships
- 2% of all net fares generated in your area
- +1% from drivers you onboard and mentor
- Performance incentives can bring total earnings up to approximately 5%
Typical Earnings Potential: $4,000 – $8,000+/month when also driving on the platform. This role scales with the market — stronger service means more rides, and more rides means higher earnings.
Compensation varies by community — reach out to learn what's possible in your area.
