Doherty Staffing Solutions is seeking candidates for a Scale Operator / Yard Associate role at a locally owned, 35-million-gallon ethanol production facility located in Rosholt, South Dakota. What You'll Do as a Scale Operator / Yard Associate:

• Operate grain scale and promote excellent customer service with external customers/grain haulers at all times.
• Operate computer systems to account for all inbound and outbound transactions.
• Accurately grade all quality factors of inbound corn using training provided.
• Monitor and distribute accurate nutrition feed tags to RRE customers.
• Assist with the accurate billing of trucks and rail cars, if applicable.
• Maintain a clean work area, including the plant yard.
• Load trucks and rail cars with feed and fuel products of RRE using mechanical equipment, meters and scales as required to ensure safe and timely delivery of products.
• Assist with grain product and supply truck unloading functions.
• Complete the grading of grain products using training provided.
• Operate large machinery and equipment; may be required to obtain DOT certification.
• Enter bins adhering to RRE’s confined space procedures.
• Complete HAZMAT paperwork when necessary.
• Learn, maintain and operate all processes associated with the grains operation including repair and maintenance.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks as directed.

What You Need to Bring to the Scale Operator / Yard Associate Role:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Secondary education and/or certifications beneficial.
• Grains experience preferred.
• Experience in truck loading and unloading, including rail tank car and tanker truck preferred.
• Forklift certification (or ability to achieve) required as well as a valid driver’s license.
• DOT certification preferred.
• Knowledge in Word, Excel, and Outlook and the ability and willingness to learn new software applications.
• Excellent organizational skills, communications skills, the ability to multi-task, and most importantly, the ability to work well in a team.
• Occasionally lifting weight up to sixty (60) pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Occasionally bending, twisting and turning while lifting weight of less than fifty (50) pounds.
• Working at heights, in confined spaces and at temperatures from
  -20 to +100 degrees.
