Job Overview
The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) provides direct patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse or Physician. Responsibilities include conducting vital signs, performing phlebotomy, gathering patient data, and administering medication. The LVN verifies medication for Medical Assistants within the scope of practice.
Minimum Requirements- Graduation from an accredited LVN school with a current LVN license issued by the State of California, Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians.
- Preferred: 1 year of patient care in outpatient/inpatient, skilled nursing, home health, or clinic setting.
- IV certification preferred.
- Preferred wound care experience.
- Experience and knowledge of the physical, mental, and social needs of patients.
- Bilingual English/Spanish/Mandarin/Cantonese, depending on location preferred.
- Valid BLS certification or higher, following American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross guidelines.
Pay for this job starts at $31.93 hourly.
