About the Position
Ensemble Schools is seeking a fun, experienced, and professional guitar teacher to teach part-time at Music Education Centers of America, our South Elgin, IL location. The position requires in-app instruction; the ability to teach in English and Spanish is a plus. Teachers can set their availability within our open hours as needed, but consistency is appreciated by students and staff.
Responsibilities- Instruct students in guitar in a professional, engaging manner.
- Maintain consistency in scheduled classes.
- Pass a routine background check.
- Strong music background, evidenced by a degree in music performance or equivalent performing experience.
- Demonstrated love of teaching and experience working with young musicians.
- Reliable transportation and punctuality.
- Ability to pass a routine background check.
Instructor pay is commensurate with experience, in the range of $20–$30 per hour. After 90 days on the job, all employees are eligible for a 401(K) program with employer matching. Health benefit packages are available for all part‑ and full‑time employees at Ensemble.
