Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Teacher

Soliant is seeking a qualified and dedicated Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) for the upcoming  school year in South Elgin, IL.

• Full-Time
• 37.5 Hours per Week
• Schedule:
  
  8:00 AM - 3:30 PM
• School Year
• Onsite Position

• Approximately 14-15 students
• Students are distributed across 7 school sites
• K-12 caseload
• Provide direct and consultative DHH services based on student IEP minutes
• Service minutes range from consultation to approximately 150 minutes per week
• Position does not include case management responsibilities

• Provide direct instruction and support to Deaf and Hard of Hearing students
• Deliver consultative services to staff and families as outlined in student IEPs
• Collaborate with general education teachers, special education teams, and related service providers
• Monitor student progress and maintain required documentation
  
  Support student access to educational programming across multiple school settings

• Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL)
• Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Endorsement Required
• Previous school-based experience preferred
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Compensation for this position ranges from $35.82 to $55.82 per hour. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals.
