3rd Shift Material Handler

Hoffer Plastics is hiring a Material Handler for the 3rd shift.

Starting pay is $20.00 - $22.00 (based on experience) plus an 8% shift premium. The 3rd shift runs from 12:00am to 8:00am.

• Mix resins, colors, and lubricants; maintain adequate material supplies by filling hoppers.
• Fill skids as needed and move finished goods into the warehouse while accurately completing inventory transactions.
• Clean auxiliary equipment.
• Transport molds to and from storage areas and tool rooms.
• Assist with mold changes under direct supervision.
• Promote safety by abiding by all relevant policies and procedures.
• Help maintain 5S and cleanliness in the plant by performing assigned cleaning tasks.
• Assume operator tasks as assigned.
• Understand the importance of reducing scrap and follow plant management instructions.
• Make boxes and supply packaging to presses.
• Move materials using a power pallet jack and forklift.

• Usually stand/walk most of the workday.
• Sometimes lift above the waist up to 30 lbs; occasionally lift below the waist up to 75 lbs.
• Occasionally move, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
• Occasionally use hands to finger or handle product/materials and foot for pedal controls on forklift.
• Occasionally bend at waist, twist, turn, climb, stoop, and/or kneel/crouch.
• Occasionally required to sit.

• High school diploma or G.E.D. certificate preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Proficient in reading/writing English.
• Basic computer skills.
• Basic math skills.
• Good communication skills.
