CNC Operator

Cat-i Glass is looking for a CNC Operator to program, operate, and set up the vertical CNC mill. The role requires performing all tasks safely and responsibly.

• Write programs in Fusion/Icam to accomplish various machining operations, meeting required sequence and dimensions.
• Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines.
• Calculate and set controls to regulate speed, feed, depth and angle of cut; enter commands to retrieve, input, or edit machine control media; facilitate work order paper flow.
• Inspect parts.
• Conduct CNC and Robot training as assigned.
• Perform tooling and insert changes.
• Read blueprints, drawings, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions, tolerances, and setup requirements.
• Use measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and optical comparators.
• Experience with vertical measuring machines is a plus.
• Make tool offsets.
• Call up and modify existing and new programs.
• Adjust work coordinates.
• Prepare tools and fixturing.
• Machine tending as needed.
• Report to work on schedule and on time.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Mastercam, G-code, and AutoCAD experience preferred.
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience setting up CNC machining centers.

• At least 5 years of experience programming in MasterCAM for vertical milling machines.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Requires manual dexterity to handle glass parts, hand tools, and knives.
• Tasks require lifting, standing, bending, reaching, climbing, pulling, pushing, and visually observing glass parts to distinguish colors.
