Store Space Self Storage is looking to hire an Assistant Store Manager to join our team in South Elgin, IL. The hourly rate for this position is between $16.00‑$17.00 based on experience. As the Assistant Store Manager, you will serve as an invaluable member of our team by striving to build a clean, safe, and positive experience for our customers. You will be directly responsible for increasing sales by converting opportunities to rentals and upselling. Your day‑to‑day tasks include caring for the facility, inside and out, as well as collections, deposits, and responding to customer inquiries.

• Care for the facility, including indoor and outdoor maintenance.
• Handle collections, deposits, and customer inquiries.
• Lead by example and demonstrate the company’s core values.

• 2+ years of customer service experience (retail sales, restaurant, front desk, site management, etc.).
• 1+ year of customer‑centered sales and collections experience (cold calling).
• Strong computer skills and ability to learn new applications.
• Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.
• Ability to walk/sit/stand for extended periods.
• Ability to operate POS and other typical office machines.
• Leadership or supervisory experience highly preferred.
• Excellent communicator, organized, detail‑oriented, diplomatic, and a team player.

We are open 7 days a week from 9 am to 5:30 pm. Weekend and holiday shifts are required.
