Industrial Construction Technician – Food Facility Build-Outs
Full-Time | First Shift | Monday-Friday | 6:30 AM – 4:30 PM

Our projects typically range from 50,000 to 150,000 square feet and include facility expansions, interior build-outs, equipment integration, and building envelope improvements.

Position SummaryVault Design Inc. is seeking an Industrial Construction Technician to support turnkey construction projects for industrial food production facilities throughout the United States.
This hands‑on position is ideal for candidates with experience in multiple construction trades who enjoy working in a team environment and taking ownership of quality work. The role involves supporting all phases of construction, including demolition, carpentry, concrete, equipment installation, MEP work, refrigeration‑related activities, and facility improvements.
This position is based out of our South Elgin, Illinois headquarters and requires short‑term travel to project sites throughout the United States.
Trade Experience RequiredQualified candidates should have experience in at least two or more of the following areas:
- Concrete
- Carpentry
- Electrical
- Plumbing
- HVAC
- Refrigeration
- Earthwork
- Support construction activities under the direction of project management and site supervision
- Assist with demolition, framing, carpentry, concrete work, equipment installation, and facility improvements
- Support MEP and refrigeration‑related construction activities
- Read and work from engineering drawings, architectural drawings, and project specifications
- Maintain accurate project documentation and communication
- Travel to project sites as required
- Support safe, organized, and efficient jobsite operations
- Work collaboratively with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and customers
- Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude while representing Vault Design Inc.
- Experience in self‑performed construction work or technical trades
- Experience in at least two construction trade disciplines
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and construction documents
- Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to travel short‑term, both in‑state and out‑of‑state
