Maintenance Technician

Location:

South Gate corrugated facility, 9700 Frontage Road East, South Gate, CA 90280.

Pay Rate: $30.37 - $46.73 per hour based on skills.

Training: PCA provides up to 100 paid training hours per year to help technicians advance through the progressive skill levels and achieve higher pay.

Tool Stipend: Technicians supply their own basic hand tools. PCA provides a tool stipend (or replacement) to help maintain basic hand tools and provides all special and heavy tools.

Safety: PCA provides safety shoe and safety glasses stipends. All technicians must follow lock-out/tag-out procedures.

Responsible for maintaining all converting and corrugating equipment to minimize downtime.

• Perform a variety of maintenance tasks to diagnose, repair, rebuild, replace mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on all plant equipment and facilities.
• Follow all safety and company policies, including lock-out tag-out procedures.
• Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment by performing preventive and routine maintenance tasks.
• Work all necessary hours and shifts, and be available on call as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 1 year industrial maintenance experience with troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery.
• Basic electrical experience and troubleshooting ability.
• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical drawings.
• Ability to pass pre-employment background check and drug test.
• Physical ability to stand, kneel, crouch, crawl, sit, stoop, and bend.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.

• Computer proficiency including Microsoft and Windows products.
• Experience with PLC programming, especially Siemens and Allen-Bradley.
• Experience with machine control systems.
• Experience in a packaging or other manufacturing environment.
• Technical degree in Mechanical or Electrical Trades.
