Warehouse Worker​/Box Builder

Fabricates wooden crates, pallets or boxes and packs such items as steel rings, forged parts or other large or odd shaped products under moderate to constant supervision by performing the following duties.

• Reads blueprints, shipping notices, and other specifications, and inspects product to determine size and shape of container, materials to be used, and types of supports and braces to be used.
• Lays out dimensions on materials with ruler, measuring tape, and pencil.
• Saws materials to size.
• Assembles materials.
• Bolts heavy pieces to bottom of container or skid.
• Builds crate around large or odd shaped articles.
• Builds cover for crate.
• Repairs broken crates.
• Sharpens or replaces saw blades.

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos, and to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations and to other employees of the organization.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, and to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
• Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form, and to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Ability to work with basic carpentry tools such as hammer, stapler, tape measure, nail gun, table saw, radial saw, circular saw, router and band saw.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to airborne particles and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $18.00 to $24.25 US Dollar (USD) Hourly based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company’s Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 1X the Company’s bonus multiple, based on the Company’s performance in the applicable quarter .

Employees will receive 80 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company's medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company’s 401(k) plan.
