Polish and finish forging dies, trimmers, and tooling surfaces using grinders and sanding tools;
Perform liquid penetrant inspection of dies to detect wear, cracks, and defects;
Document die condition and wear, recording dies with job numbers and functions;
Select abrasive tools appropriate for operation and dimensions specified;
Operate power hand grinders to remove beads, grind curves, and smooth die surfaces; sand cavities and gutters to aid metal flow in forging; use hand tools to finish surfaces;
Operate a die cleaning tank and support other tooling-related duties as needed
