Location:

South Gate, CA Pay Rate: $28.00 – $37.00 per hour

Schedule:

Requirements:

  • Ability to read and interpret hydraulic and pneumatic schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical documentation
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to calculate measurements, percentages, proportions, and basic geometric formulas
  • Basic knowledge of algebra and geometry
  • Ability to solve practical problems and make sound decisions in a maintenance environment
  • Ability to follow written, verbal, diagram-based, and scheduled instructions
  • Experience monitoring equipment performance and maintaining accurate records
  • Proficiency in the use of hand tools and maintenance equipment
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with supervisors and team members
  • Attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality standards

Job Duties:

  • Troubleshoot mechanical equipment by observing operation and diagnosing issues
  • Disassemble equipment to access, inspect, and replace defective components
  • Inspect parts for wear, damage, and dimensional changes
  • Adjust and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and control system components
  • Repair or replace valves, motors, cylinders, pumps, and other plant equipment as needed
  • Install replacement and specialized mechanical parts
  • Lubricate, clean, and maintain equipment to ensure proper operation
  • Test equipment after repairs to verify performance and functionality
  • Perform routine inspections and maintain accurate maintenance records
  • Follow all safety procedures and preventive maintenance requirements
  • Assist with additional maintenance duties as assigned by supervisors
