Hours and Location

Monday – Friday, second shift 11:00 am – 7:30 pm (no weekends).

Location:

repair/maintenance shop at the South Hadley, MA hauling site.

Responsibilities
  • Inspect, diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems on a wide range of vehicles and equipment.
  • Estimate time and material costs for vehicle repairs and new parts.
  • Perform work within standard labor repair times (SRTs).
  • Respond to service calls for emergency breakdowns.
  • Conduct safety checks on vehicles to protect employees and the community.
  • Complete and document repair paperwork, parts usage, and repair times.
  • Assist senior mechanics with project work.
  • Review, complete, or assign repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate/OSHA standards.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Over 18 years of age.
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States.
  • Ability to perform physical requirements with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Successful completion of pre‑employment drug screen and physical exam.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, climbing; constant standing, walking, grasping; occasional sitting and balancing.
  • Exposure to cuts, burns, toxic chemicals, dirt, odors, noise, and weather extremes.
  • Work in both indoor garage/shop and outdoor conditions including inclement weather, heat, and humidity.
