CDL Truck Driver Roll Off

Pay Range: $26.50; $30.00

Drivers operate heavy‑duty trucks with front, side, or rear‑end load lift attachments depending on the line of business. Drivers transport material to disposal, transfer, or recycle facilities when trucks reach legal load capacity. Commercial Drivers provide pickup service of containers filled with waste or recyclable material, sometimes over 1,000 pounds. They navigate high‑traffic, congested roadways, driveways, alleyways, and lots. Highly skilled backing maneuvers are essential.

Residential Drivers collect residential household waste or recyclable material, safely maneuvering vehicles in residential environments. Roll‑off Drivers prepare, load, and transport large mobile open‑top and compactor containers from customer locations, often in tight overhead environments while on industrial routes.

• Operate vehicle in accordance with Waste Management Safety and Life Critical Rules, OSHA, and DOT requirements, as well as all local, state and federal laws.
• Perform pre‑ and post‑trip inspections of assigned vehicle and document checks using the standard DVIR.
• Immediately report all unsafe situations or service‑related issues to Operations Manager or Dispatch.
• Attend scheduled training programs, briefings, and meetings as required.
• Work closely with Operations Manager to improve route efficiencies and identify best practices.
• Notify Operations Manager of any incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage.
• Notify Operations Manager or Dispatch of service interruptions including closed or impassable streets or alleyways, heavy receptacles, or potential safety hazards.
• Communicate customer requests to Operations Manager or Dispatch.
• Completely dump all receptacles and leave the customer’s location clean and free of debris.
• Follow route assignments and complete end‑of‑day documentation and check‑out process.
• Perform all duties as scheduled by Operations Manager or Dispatch and assist other drivers as directed to meet customer needs.

• 1 year operating a vehicle requiring a CDL or equivalent military driving within the last 7 years.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English well enough to interact with the public, understand traffic signs, respond to official questions, and complete records or reports.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Legally eligible to work in the country.
• CDL Class A with an air‑brake endorsement upon hire.
• CDL Class B with an air‑brake endorsement upon hire.

• High School Diploma or GED (accredited).

• Standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, reaching, talking, hearing.

Pay: The expected base pay range for this office/on‑site position is $26.50- $30.00. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific salary offered to a successful candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location.
