Technician Specialist II

Location

Location: South Hill, VA (with occasional travel within the DMV)

Schedule: Monday–Friday onsite (8am–5pm) + occasional Saturdays

Compensation: $90k–$120k + OT opportunities

• 2–5 years of experience with Building Management Systems (BMS),
  HVAC controls
  , or EMCS
• Hands‑on experience with:
  • System startup
  • Point‑to‑point testing
  • Basic functional testing
• Working knowledge of BMS platforms (preferably Niagara
  ; also Siemens or Schneider)
• Understanding of BACnet/IP, Modbus, and IP-based control networks
• Ability to troubleshoot:
  • Controllers, sensors, and field devices
  • HVAC equipment
• Familiarity with HVAC systems such as:
  • AHUs, CRAC units, chillers, and VFDs
• Experience working in mission‑critical environments
  :
  • Data centers, hospitals, or military installations

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in an engineering‑related field

• Perform point‑to‑point testing and support functional commissioning
• Assist with Integrated Systems Testing (IST)
• Configure controllers and communication settings
• Work within BMS platforms to monitor system performance
• Collaborate with senior technicians and engineers
• Support integration of HVAC and power systems
• Execute test scripts and document commissioning activities
