CT Technologist

Job Summary

Our client is seeking an experienced CT Technologist to perform high‑quality diagnostic and therapeutic CT imaging. This role requires strong technical skills, excellent patient communication, and a commitment to safety, accuracy, and efficient workflow. The technologist will perform routine and complex CT exams, administer contrast, and ensure timely image processing within a fast‑paced hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform CT procedures according to established protocols, ensuring diagnostic image quality.
  • Safely administer contrast agents, assess allergy risks, and review lab values before exams.
  • Provide clear, age‑appropriate instructions to patients and support comfort throughout procedures.
  • Document patient information, protocol deviations, and safety considerations accurately.
  • Complete postprocessing, image transfer, order closure, charge entry, and PACS quality checks.
  • Recognize and elevate urgent clinical findings or patient safety concerns.
  • Collaborate with imaging and clinical teams to support efficient patient flow.
  • Provide coverage for open shifts based on competency and department needs.
Qualifications
  • ARRT or NMTCB certification with ARRTCT and current BLS.
  • Minimum 1 year of CT experience or completion of a 6‑month CT orientation.
  • Proficiency with CT equipment, image processing software, and radiation safety.
  • Strong understanding of technical standards, departmental policies, and scope of practice.
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and maintain accuracy in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient education and clarity.
