Overview
Under the direction of the Therapy Manager, the Rehabilitation Services Supervisor coordinates departmental operations, including performing rehabilitation treatments within their scope of practice. This role supports departmental performance improvement initiatives, participates in the selection of new hires, orients and supervises clinic staff, and validates staff competencies.
The Rehabilitation Services Supervisor monitors staffing levels and productivity, assists with the clinical student program, and maintains efficient and effective departmental operations in compliance with federal, state, and Joint Commission standards. They also provide backup coverage for the Therapy Manager.
Licensure and Certification Requirements- Licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia as OT, PT, or SLP.
- Current license by the Commonwealth of Virginia as OT, PT, or SLP.
- BLS CPR Certification of Clinical Competency (for SLP).
- Minimum three years of hospital or clinic experience as OT, PT, or SLP.
- Previous work experience in supervisory or staff development.
- Graduate of an accredited School of OT, PT, or SLP.
- Master's or Doctoral degree from an accredited school of OT, PT, or SLP.
- Provision of clinical services.
- Staff scheduling and training.
- Supervision of daily clinical operations.
- Orient new staff and students.
- May conduct performance evaluations.
- Schedule and supervise staff, students, and volunteers.
Position Requirements
- Weekend or evening work, as needed.
- Prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, frequent bending, walking (distance), climbing (steps, ladder, other), reaching (overhead, extensive, repetitive).
- Strong recall, reasoning, problem solving, hearing, speak clearly, write legibly, reading, logical thinking.
- Fast pace environment, steady pace, ability to handle multiple priorities, frequent and intense customer interactions, noisy environment, ability to adapt to frequent change.
