Manufacturing Process Engineer; maritime

In this position, you will play a vital role in shaping and refining the manufacturing processes for shipbuilding projects. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and drive process improvements from design to production, ensuring a seamless and optimized workflow.

Specific duties in this role include:

• Designing, developing and continuously improving manufacturing processes for complex systems and ship components.
• Analysing and optimizing existing processes to increase productivity, reduce costs and improve product quality.
• Supporting cross-functional collaboration between Operations and Engineering to ensure manufacturability of designs and a smooth transition from design to production.
• Proactively identifying manufacturing risks and developing effective mitigation strategies.
• Leading process improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience in developing and optimizing manufacturing processes, preferably within shipbuilding or a related heavy industry.
• Proficient in applying Lean and/or Six Sigma tools for process improvement.
• Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to identifying inefficiencies and implementing solutions.
• Ability to assess and mitigate production risks while ensuring adherence to quality and compliance standards.
• Proficiency in both written and spoken English language.
