Are you a forward-thinking expert ready to shape the future of naval defense? We’re seeking an experienced Innovation Lead to take a pivotal role in advancing technologies related to naval ship signatures and vulnerability. Salary up to €90k+ based on fulltime.
FunctionIn this strategic position, you’ll lead innovation initiatives that directly influence the performance, safety, and stealth of next-generation naval vessels. Working at the intersection of R&D and applied engineering, you’ll transform ideas into cutting-edge solutions with real-world impact.
Key accountabilities:
- Shape the Vision:
Define and drive an innovation roadmap for naval signatures and vulnerability—complete with milestones, performance goals, and long-term impact. - Spot the Future:
Stay ahead of emerging technologies and trends in signatures and vulnerability, evaluating their potential for implementation. - Drive
Collaboration:
Work across disciplines and departments to foster cross-functional innovation, bringing together the best minds in engineering and research. - Lead by Example:
Act as a hands-on technical expert within product development teams, contributing your insights and experience. - Deliver Innovation:
Lead R&D initiatives from concept to deployment—managing scope, budget, risk, and outcomes. - Measure & Motivate:
Establish clear metrics to track innovation progress and promote a strong, future-focused culture across the organization. - Inspire Change:
Advocate for technological evolution and drive adoption through internal engagement and stakeholder alignment.
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant technical discipline.
- At least 10 years of experience in R&D or engineering related to naval signatures and vulnerability.
- In-depth knowledge of related regulations, compliance standards, and specialized analysis tools.
- A proven track record in leading innovation and technology implementation projects.
- Strong communication skills and fluency in English, both spoken and written.
- Excellent professional references (a security clearance process applies).

Offer- Monthly salary up to €7,000 (depending on experience)
- 38 vacation days (including compensatory time off)
- Travel allowance (€0.23 per km)
- Hybrid working possible (up to 2 days per week from home)
