Lunchroom Attendant

Summary
The lunchroom attendant prepares and serves cafeteria food, maintains the lunchroom in sanitary condition, and travels to a different district school each day based on district needs.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a food sanitation course.
• Possession of a valid TB test and health examination issued by the local county board of health or recognized medical authority.

Essential Functions

• Prepares all menu items using established departmental policies and procedures.
• Assures all menu items are prepared according to established policies and procedures.
• Assures all food and other departmental supplies are ordered and received in a timely manner to support volume or anticipated volume.
• Provides services to students and staff in a friendly and efficient manner.
• Cleans lunchroom area before and after business hours.
• Performs other related duties as required.

Physical Demands
The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move objects up to 25 pounds.

Required Education And Experience
High School Diploma.
Ability to read, write and speak English.
Bilingual a plus.

Preferred Education And Experience
Prior cafeteria or food industry experience.
