Maintenance Supervisor

Our client is a large, established food manufacturer with multiple production facilities throughout the Midwest. They operate high-volume processing and packaging operations and are looking to strengthen their maintenance team with experienced technicians who can keep production equipment running safely and efficiently. This is a hands‑on opportunity working with automated packaging equipment, electrical and mechanical systems, motors, pumps, refrigeration, and other plant equipment.

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead a maintenance team within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. This individual will provide hands‑on technical leadership while supporting the reliability, safety, and performance of production equipment and facility systems.

The ideal candidate combines maintenance leadership with strong electrical, PLC, and mechanical troubleshooting abilities.

• Lead and direct maintenance technicians during assigned operations.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and automated production equipment.
• Support PLC‑controlled equipment using Allen‑Bradley, Siemens, and related platforms.
• Diagnose 3‑phase electrical systems, drives, motors, controls, and instrumentation.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Maintain conveyors, pumps, belt and chain drives, and production machinery.
• Support HVAC, refrigeration, chillers, boilers, compressors, and facility equipment.
• Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
• Read and interpret electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic drawings.
• Support welding, fabrication, plumbing, and general plant repairs when required.
• Enforce Lockout/Tagout and other plant safety procedures.
• Work with production leadership to minimize equipment downtime.
• Maintain GMP and quality standards within the maintenance operation.
• Develop and support maintenance team members.

• 4+ years of industrial maintenance experience preferred.
• Previous maintenance leadership, supervisory, or lead experience.
• Strong industrial electrical and mechanical troubleshooting abilities.
• Experience troubleshooting PLC‑controlled equipment.
• Knowledge of Allen‑Bradley and/or Siemens PLCs.
• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, conveyors, motors, and drives.
• Ability to read technical drawings and electrical schematics.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical or vocational training is a plus.
• Food, beverage, packaging, or other high‑volume manufacturing experience is highly desirable.
