Senior Specialty Representative for Bone Health based in Houston Central, TX. Territory covers Houston Medical Center. Relocation is not offered for this role. In this role you will be the primary customer contact, providing clinical knowledge of Amgen products to medical professionals and helping navigate the payer environment, while executing marketing strategy under the District Manager.

• Provide current and comprehensive knowledge of Amgen's products and effectively communicate clinical benefits to medical professionals to drive appropriate utilization
• Lead sales efforts to achieve territory targets by delivering branded messages, conducting planned programs, coordinating medical educational programs, and meeting or exceeding sales goals through in-person and virtual engagement
• Develop relationships to service and manage accounts, tailoring discussions to customer needs, ensuring product access, resolving reimbursement issues, and maintaining product contracts
• Provide feedback on marketing strategy, analyze the effectiveness of sales activities, perform territory analysis, and develop territory plans with the District Manager
• Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and grow as a Senior Specialty Representative
• Demonstrate passion for products throughout the sales cycle, building the brand while focusing on serving patients

• Required:
  
  Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare/scientific field that is not sales related
• Required:
  
  Associate degree and 6 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare/scientific field that is not sales related
• Required:
  
  High school diploma / GED and 8 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare/scientific field that is not sales related
• Preferred:
  More than 3 years’ sales, marketing and/or clinical experience within pharmaceutical, biotech, diagnostics, healthcare insurance, pharmacy services, healthcare medical device or medical supply industries
• Preferred:
  Product or hospital sales experience in oncology, cardiology, inflammation, nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology, neurology, endocrinology, hepatology, gastroenterology, bone health, respiratory, hematology, or infectious diseases
• Preferred:
  Advanced influencing and relationship-building skills with a focus on sales outcomes

  Local market knowledge
• Preferred:
  Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration
