Provide for the safety of the students, faculty, and staff. Assist in implementing procedures that will ensure the protection of campus personnel and property.

• High School diploma or GED
• Must be able to work well with high school age students and educators
• Clear and valid Texas driver’s license

• Demonstrate interest in and aptitude for work to be performed
• Desire and ability to work with students, parent, faculty, and staff

• Police and/or security training or experience preferred

• Patrol assigned campus. Monitor student behavior and enforce school rules related to student conduct, vehicle operation, and parking.
• Assist visitors as they enter the campus.
• Maintain proper condition of parking lot carts and two-way radios, if assigned.
• Monitor campus on staff development days.
• Report discipline problems to campus administrators.
• Comply with directions and instructions from supervisor, and perform other tasks and assume such responsibilities as may be assigned throughout the district.

Ability to use security equipment and drive a golf cart.

Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written); coordinate campus support functions; maintain emotional control under stress.

Strenuous walking, standing, and/or climbing; ability to assist in controlling sudden violent or extreme physical acts of others and exhibit rapid mental and muscular coordination simultaneously. May be subjected to adverse and hazardous working conditions. Work outdoors in varying climate conditions.
